  • 2009.04.01. Enacted and promulgated the Act on the Promotion of Science and Technology for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
  • 2009.09.16. Mr. Jeong Seung took office as the first president of iPET
  • 2009.10.02. Launched iPET
  • 2010.01.29. Designated as a ¡°non-classified special purpose public institute¡± pursuant to the Act on the Management of Public Institutions
  • 2010.04.20. Designated as an ¡°institute for green growth evaluation and certification¡± pursuant to the Framework Act on Low Carbon, Green Growth
  • 2010.10.28. Mr. Yoo Byung-Rin took office as the second president of iPET
  • 2011.01.24. Designated as a quasi-government institution pursuant to the Act on the Management of Public Institutions
  • 2012.03.14. Established the Golden Seed Project Center
  • 2013.01.28. Obtained ISO 20000 IT Service Management Standard certificate
  • 2013.12.13. Designated as an institute to take exclusive charge of New Excellent Technology (NET) certification
  • 2013.12.18. Mr. Lee Sang-Kil took office as the third president of iPET
  • 2016.06.16. Obtained the highest grade (A) in the 2015 Public Institution Business Performance Evaluation
  • 2016.11.28. Named as an excellent institution in the 2016 NTIS Data Quality Evaluation
  • 2016.12.19. Mr. Oh Kyung-Tae took office as the fourth president of iPET
  • 2017.06.16. Obtained the highest grade (A) in the 2016 Public Institution Business Performance Evaluation
  • 2017.06.28. Renamed as the Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture and Forestry (iPET)

  • To support the establishment of comprehensive basis and implementation plans for advancing science and technology in food, Agriculture and Forestry
  • To support policy establishment and to plan and manage R&D projects
  • To manage and assess R&D projects and to utilize research achievements
  • To evaluate the technical standards and to assess the technical competency
